STRAWBERRY BANANA MILKSHAKE

Strawberry Banana Milkshake prepared with this recipe is an ultimate summer cooler. Creamy shake of calcium and energy rich banana, milk and vitamin C rich strawberry is a celestial fresh fruit drink that can provide enough energy to keep you on your toes for few hours.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 8 frozen or fresh Ripe Strawberries, halved (approx. 3/4 cup)
  • 1/2 Banana (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 tablespoon or to taste Sugar

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Pour milk in the jar of a blender or mixer grinder.
  2. Add halved strawberries.
  3. Add frozen or fresh sliced banana
  4. Add sugar.
  5. Blend until fruits are well blended and there are no chunks of them. Pour it into a serving glass and serve.

NOTES:

  • For thicker shake, use frozen fruit instead of using fresh fruit.
  • To make healthy thick shake, skip adding ice cream and sugar and add extra 1/2 banana (total 1 banana) in this recipe.
  • Taste: Sweet and creamy
  • Serving Ideas: Starwberry banana shake with milk is a thick fruit shake that can be serve in the breakfast or as a dessert. It is a perfect milkshake for kids.

STRWBERRY PINEAPPLE SMOOTHIE

Summer’s best sweet and juicy strawberries, sweet pineapple and yogurt makes irresistible real fruit concoction that is not just healthy but treat to taste buds as well. Discover how can you make refreshing and rejuvenating strawberry pineapple smoothie in just few steps with this recipe.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen Strawberries (or 3-4 strawberries), stem removed and halved
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen Pineapple Chunks
  • 1/4 cup Yogurt
  • 1/4 cup Pineapple Juice or Orange Juice or Water
  • 2 Ice Cubes
  • 1 tsp honey

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. We have used fresh  strawberries, fresh pineapple and Homemade fresh yogurt in this recipe. You can use fresh or frozen fruits according to the availability.
  2. Pour orange juice in a blender jar. Add halved strawberries, pineapple chunks,  yogurt and honey, Add ice cubes.
  3. Blend until mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
  4. As you can see, the smoothie has beautiful pink color because of strawberries. Pour it into a chilled serving glass and serve.

NOTES:

  • Pineapple adds sweet taste while strawberry compliments it with its tangy touch. This smoothie not only tastes well but also looks inviting as well due to its light pink color.

STRAWBERRY SMOOTHIE

Winter special smoothie 

Among all other fruit smoothies, strawberry smoothie is one of my fav smoothies due to its irresistible taste and health benefits. This recipe prepares refreshing, healthy and creamy drink with fresh strawberries, yogurt, milk and honey .

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen Ripe Strawberries (approx. 8-10 strawberries)
  • 1/2 cup Plain or Strawberry Yogurt
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon honey or sugar  (or to taste)
  • 2 whole Strawberries with Leaves (for garnishing), optional
  • nuts and seeds for garnishing

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Wash fresh strawberries, remove stems and put them in a blender jar.
  2. Add  yogurt, milk and honey .
  3. Blend until smooth puree. Slit two strawberries halfway through the center. Slide each one of them on rim of two glasses. Pour prepared smoothie in garnished glasses and serve.

NOTES;

  • Add 1/2 cup crushed ice or 2-ice cubes for slushy smoothie.
  • Serving Ideas: It is the best way to enjoy fresh strawberries during its season.
  • Serve strawberry smoothie as breakfast drink or as a welcome drink in all kinds of parties and to kids as well.

POMEGRANATE ORANGE AMLAJUICE / HEALTHY FRUIT JUICE /VITAMIN C JUICE

Pomegranate, Orange and Amla are three different fruits that are so health benefiting in different ways. But they have something in common that benefits us in many ways, all the three fruits that I have used here are rich in antioxidants and therefore is the most healthiest trio ever.

Vitamin C is a very good and powerful antioxidant found in these three fruits. And I feel that I should better name the drink as Vitamin C drink.

Pomegranates are said to be good for heart and also fights cancer due to the high levels of antioxidants present in it. When the trio combines it gives a very refreshing and delectable drink. Amla or the Indian gooseberry gives sour and tart-ic taste, while pomegranates offers sweetness and so does oranges but they additionally give a citrus touch to the drink.

The trio tastes great and benefits your health in many ways. You can keep on listing the health benefits of these fruits, they are so very beneficial in many many ways.
Then imagine the goodness of all the three fruits in a single serving. You can gulp all the nutrition, minerals and vitamins from the same glass.

Serve this healthy and refreshing drink for your loved ones and watch them enjoy it.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Pomegranate kernels – from 1 pomegranate 
  • orange -1 peeled
  • Amla/ indian gooseberry – 1 (chopped, discard seed)
  • sugar- as per taste (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Add orange and amla pieces to a blender and blend well.
  2. Then add the pomegranate kernels, 1 cup of water and blend again just for a few seconds. If you grind for a long time the pomegranate seeds will break and become coarse.
  3. Strain the juice using a strainer and discard the pulp.
    Serve!!
  4. Refreshing Vitamin C rich drink is now ready!! Serve as a party drink or as a refresher!!

NOTES:

  • Those who catch cold easily can use warm water instead of chilled water and extract juice. I catch cold easily when i just take a sip of any fruit juice, but after trying this way I feel I haven’t got cold.
  • Add sugar or honey according to taste. I haven’t added any sweetening agents as the orange and pomegranate was sweet enough. but you can add some if you wish.
  • My pomegranate kernels were pale pink in color, so color changes may apply if you use dark red colored pomegranate kernels.

PINEAPPLE JAL JEERA

Pineapple Jal Jeera is a refreshing take on the traditional Jal Jeera recipe. Juicy pineapple slices are blended with cumin water and masala to give in a unique flavour.
The sour notes of Jal Jeera are balanced by the sweet undertones of the fruity pineapple. Homemade variants of the Pineapple Jal Jeera recipe are sometimes mixed with a bit of jaggery or turmeric to bring out the taste.

Garnishing the beverage with chopped mint leaves gives it a refreshing taste and if you want to season it, you can use cinnamon powder and pink salt.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Pineapple 3.5 cups
  • Ginger 1 small piece
  • Mint W/o Roots 2 leafs
  • Asafoetida/hing 1 pinch
  • Black Pepper Corn 1 pinch
  • Salt 1 pinch
  • Black Salt 1 pinch
  • Honey 2 teaspoons
  • Coriander Leaves 4 leafs
  • Water 2.5 glasses
  • Lemon Juice 1 tablespoon
  • Jeera Powder 1 pinch

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a blender, add Pineapple, Mint, Ginger, Coriander, Hing, Black Pepper and Water.
  2. Blend until very fine.
  3. Strain the mixture and collect the juice. Discard the pulp. Add Salt, Black Salt, Lemon Juice, Honey & roasted Cumin Powder and stir well. Pour in glass and serve chilled.

PLUM DRINK RECIPE (PLUM JUICE, PLUM LEMONADE)

Ditch your commercial soda and enjoy these simple Plum drink recipe. Just make the basic plum syrup and use it to make plum lemonsoda, plum lemonade or plum juice.

The best thing is that these drinks are super easy to make but they look really fancy with little effort. I just make this plum syrup and from it, I can make a plum lemonade .

INGREDIENTS:

  • 500 grams  plums, pitted
  • 2¼ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup lemon juice, or more
  • ⅔ glass ice cubes
  • ⅓ glass plum syrup
  • Mint leaves, for garnish
  • water

INSTRUCTIONS :
FOR PLUM CONCENTRATE :

  1. Put all in a pot in a stainless steel pot on medium heat and boil for 15 minutes until soft.
  2. Let the syrup cool, then blend. The plum concentrate syrup is ready. Transfer to a jar and store in fridge for 3-4 weeks. You can freeze it too for later use.

FOR PLUM LEMONADE RECIPE :

  1. Put plum syrup in a glass , add  lemon juice , black salt and ice.
  2. Add some water and mix it .
  3. Garnish with mint and serve immediately.

FOR PLUM LEMON SODA:

  1. Mix water, ice and syrup. Pour in glass and top with lemon soda. Garnish with mint leaves and serve chilled.
