MANGO STRAWBERRY MARTINI

Mango season is arriving, and Strawberry season is departing.. So how do we have best of both the world? We go for Mango Strawberry Martini.

Summer is officially the season of Mangoes. So, keep your guard down and get ready to get high on this light, sunny Mango Strawberry Martini. 
Another day.. Another Cooler.. who said Summer is going to be hot  !!!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3/4 cup mango pulp
  • Ice cubes
  • Some mint (pudina) leaves
  • Sprite (or any lime drink)
  • Salt, red chilli powder, lime wedges, 1 cut strawberry and a mint leave (to decorate glass)
  • Some finely chopped strawberries

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Take a shaker/any bottle / mixer
  2. Add 3/4 cup mango pulp, Add ice cubes.
  3. Add some mint (pudina) leaves
  4. Add Sprite (or any lime drink)
  5. Shake it well or crush in mixer.
  6. To decorate glass, place some salt in a plate
  7. Add some red chilli powder and mix it
  8. Take 2 martini glasses, moisten the glass rim with lime wedge
  9. Dip glass into salt mixture
  10. Further add some finely chopped strawberries in glass (add sugar if you wish to)
  11. Pour mango martini drink
  12. Place a piece of strawberry and mint leave on the side of both glasses
  13. And then your Refreshing Mango & Strawberry Martini  ready!!

WATERMELON LEMONADE

Homemade lemonade is so easy to make and taste sooooooo much better than anything you will find in the store. Although  I do confess to loving that Simply Lemonade!

This watermelon lemonade is as simple and pure as it gets! Water, lemons, watermelon, sugar and mint!
Yep that’s it!

I just love the way fresh mint and watermelon get along .Every sip leaves your mouth cool and refreshed .It’s like a little bit of summer in a glass.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 6 cups cubed seedless watermelon , chilled (2 lbs after peeling)*
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 3/4 cup fresh strained lemon juice , chilled
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar (more or less to taste)
  • Ice and fresh mint for serving

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Add watermelon to a blender and pulse until well pureed (there should be about 4 cups).
  2. Pour through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl.
  3. In a large pitcher whisk together water, lemon juice and sugar until sugar has dissolved. Stir in pureed watermelon.
  4. Stir in ice and mint (alternately add ice and mint directly to individual cups and pour lemonade over). Store in refrigerator.
    *If you don’t have time to chill the ingredients then just use more ice in place of some of the water

STRAWBERRY MASALA CHAAS ( SPICED STRAWBERRY BUTTERMILK )

Masala chaas is the spiced North Indian buttermilk. It is healthy and refreshing drink — a perfect treat for the summer. It cools our bodies and maintains the body heat at the correct level. And not only it keeps the body cool, it also helps to keep the body hydrated, especially in the summer months.

This refreshing drink is made with yogurt or buttermilk with added spices such as cumin seeds or herbs like cilantro or mint. I have slightly twisted the regular recipe by adding fresh strawberries to it.

Addition of strawberries makes it really fruity and flavory!

Strawberry Masala Chaas is a strawberry flavoured spiced North Indian buttermilk. It is healthy and refreshing drink — a perfect treat for the summer.

INGREDIENTS:

  • For Strawberry Masala Chaas //
  • fresh strawberries – 1/2 cup
  • natural yogurt – 1 cup
  • green chili, chopped – 1
  • cilantro leaves, chopped – 1 tablesoon
  • himalayan Black Salt – 1/4 teaspoon
  • salt – to taste
  • chaat masala – 3/4 teaspoon
  • cumin powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • chilled water – 2 cups
  • ice cubes – few, for serving, optional

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. How to Make Strawberry Masala Chaas //
  2. Add all the ingredients except ice cues to the blender.
  3. Blend well until frothy.
  4. Add ice cubes to the serving glasses, and pour chass into the glass.
  5. Garnish with cumin powder, cilantro and strawberries.
  6. Serve Strawberry Masala Chaas chilled and keep your loved ones hydrate during summer!

CUCUMBER CHAAS

Cucumber Chaas or Buttermilk is a refreshing indian cooler especially made during summers for its cooling effects. Buttermilk or chaas or , whatever you call it, has many variations in different parts of India, and this is from one such experiment. I love cucumber, i love chaas, and it gives a ‘ what an idea sirjee ‘ effect when i can have a combination of the two. This is one amazing chatakdaar drink you would make pretty often once you have tried it if you are a chaas fan.

This cucumber chaas is quick and easy to make and is ideal to cool down your body and soul in no time. It can also be a unique addition to the list of beverages you arrange for your next house party.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Curd/Yogurt – 3/4 cup
  • Water – 2 1/2 cups
  • Cucumber – 1 big – cubed – approx 1.5 cup chopped
  • Salt – to taste
  • Green chillis – 1/2 of a small one (Do not add more than that)
  • Cilantro / Coriander leaves – 2 twigs
  • Grated ginger – to garnish

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Blend together the curd and water in a blender adding salt to taste.
  2. You may use buttermilk if you have.
  3. Now add the cucumber to the blender with about 1 cup of buttermilk (just made). Pop in the green chillies and cilantro.
  4. Blend until smooth and mix with the remaining buttermilk.
  5. Serve chilled with cilantro and grated ginger.

STRAWBERRY PINEAPPLE JUICE

We’ve found a winner for this summer!
The blend of strawberries and pineapple is nothing short of delicious!

Pineapple is a fruit that goes very well with strawberries and this juice has the perfect balance of sweet and sour. It is very easy to make and includes only three ingredients.The few leaves of fresh mint give the juice a burst of cool flavour.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 whole pineapple
  • Small handful fresh mint (about 6-10 leaves)
  • 1 tbsp sugar ( optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Wash, hull and cut the strawberries in half.
  2. Carve the outer husk off the pineapple and prepare half of the pineapple for juicing. Chop the pineapple into wedges.wp-16149410786891472782730829466326.jpg
  3. Juice the strawberries, followed by the mint and then the pineapple.
  4. Mix well and serve chilled.

HOMEMADE HOT CHOCOLATE MIX

This super easy homemade hot chocolate mix is rich, and makes some of the best hot chocolate ever.

This homemade hot chocolate mix takes five minutes to prep, is easy to store, and makes a super-rich and decadent cup of hot chocolate. It’s easy to gift and simple enough for little chefs to make!

This recipe was perfect. Sweet but not overly sweet. The powdered sugar and the powdered milk really gave the hot cocoa a nice texture.

Make delicious mugs of hot chocolate at home with this homemade hot chocolate mix recipe. Made with real grated chocolate in the cocoa mix this is thick, creamy, delicious and an amazing treat!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup  Powdered sugar
  • 1/2  Cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup Milk Powder
  • 1/4 cup  Grated dark chocolate
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • Spices (optional)
  • ½ tsp Cinnamon spice
  • ½ tsp Nutmeg fresh grate

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Combine ingredients in a mason jar. Shake until everything is well combined.wp-16090827474432975365984105492609.jpg
  2. To make a mug of hot chocolate :
  3. Add 3 tablespoons of the Hot Chocolate mix to milk or water into a saucepan and stir. Simmer on medium/low heat for 2 minutes.
  4. Pour into a mug and serve with chocolates.
  5. To make hot chocolate, add 1-2 tablespoons of homemade hot chocolate mix to hot water. Stir and enjoy!
  • NOTES:
  • This hot cocoa mix if stored properly in an airtight container can be used for about 6 months.
    To keep it longer I highly recommend not adding the milk powder to the mix.
