LEMON MINT COOLER / NIMBU PUDINA SHARBAT

Pudina (mint)is my all-time favorite. Mint has many medicinal properties.It is cooling to your body, good for easy digestion good cleanser for the blood and body.
I like it very much and so I try and use it in everyday recipes like salads, chutneys, raitas, juices etc.

To give you relief from the hot weather here is a recipe for Lemon-Mint cooler /Nimbu Pudina Sherbat
I am adding lemon in this.Don’t worry, it will still retain its green color, even the next day, and it also gives some punch and flavor to this drink.

PAAN SHOTS / DESSERT DRINK RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 Cup Mint leaves
1 tbsp sugar/honey
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
1 tsp black salt (kala namak)
1 tsp Roasted cumin powder
salt to taste
1 tbsp lemon juice
3 cup Chilled water or use ice cubes 1522139329827

INSTRUCTIONS :

  1. Remove the mint leaves from stems and wash them very well.15221391939811522139008324
  2. Place the mint leaves in the mixer jar and add  sugar to it. Also add  black salt , roasted cumin powder and black pepper.1522139154497
  3. Squeeze out one lemon and add its juice too. Add ½ cup water as well and grind finely.
  4. Strain it through the sieve, remove if there are any leftovers.1522139282140
  5. Put ice cubes in a glass. Now add sharbat to the glasses. Fill half the glasses with prepared sharbat. Fill rest of the glasses with water.
  6. Garnish with some lemon slices and mint leaves.Refreshing and chilled lemon mint sharbat is ready to serve. Apart from soothing and refreshing this sharbat aids digestion as well.

STRAWBERRY COCONUT WATER COOLER

🍓 Love Strawberry Season !!
Strawberries are one of my favorite fruits. I love them so much that I wait the whole year for their season to come.I have tried a lot of strawberry desserts, so this time I tried a drink.
Nowadays, we are practicing for the Indore marathon and this drink would be a wonderful way to start the day.

Strawberry coconut cooler is a refreshing drink. Ripe strawberries combined with fresh coconut water to create a perfect simple drink. Its a healthy drink liked by kids.
This drink is not only tasty but also healthy. It has all the goodness of fresh strawberries and coconut water.
Strawberries are the rich source of antioxidant, vitamin C, and coconut water is a rich source of various minerals like calcium, potassium, and magnesium etc. The color of the drink is bright pink making it more irresistible. It is a quite simple and quick to make a drink. Hope you would like it!!!

INGREDIENTS :

Strawberries- 4 to 5
Coconut Water-200 ml
Powdered Sugar/Honey-1tsp (if required)

INSTRUCTIONS :

    NOTES:
    I have used fresh strawberries and coconut water in this recipe.
    If you don’t have access to fresh produce for both the items, you can use canned strawberries or strawberry crush along with coconut water tetra packs.
    Sugar is totally optional in this drink.
    If the strawberries are sweet enough you can skip the sugar. Instead of sugar, you can add honey also.

PAAN SHOTS / DESSERT DRINK RECIPE

Paan Shots is a refreshing, mouth freshener drink that is inspired from the Meetha pan that we Indians usually consumed after a heavy meal.

Sharing a very easy to make rich and tasty shot drink recipe that you can also serve as a mouth freshener after meals. Paan shots recipe is a unique way to serve pan but you can totally customize it make it kids friendly too.
The main ingredients of this paan shots recipe are betel leaves and gulkand. Betal leaves and gulkand are very good for health when consumed in moderation.

I must tell you guys it was such a refreshing drink!! I insist and highly recommend you to try this at home; you will absolutely love it.

Serve paan shots as mouth freshener in shot glasses or small glasses after a meal.

INGREDIENTS:
2 Paan/Betel leaves
1/2 Tsp Sauf/Fennel Seeds
2 Tbsp Gulkand/Rose Petal Jam
3 Tbsp Whipped Cream or Vanilla Icecream
2 Cups Chilled Milk
1 Tsp Sugar Optional
2 Drops Green Food Color Optional
Sprinkles
white chocolate melted

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Tear apart the paan leaves using your hand and add to a mixer.
  2. In a mixer, jar add betel leaves, gulkand, saunf and sugar if you need more sweet add splash of water and grind to a smooth paste.
  3. To the ground, paste add cream and food color(optional) pulse twice till well combined.
  4. Add the ground paste to chilled milk and whisk well serve chilled in the shot glass…Enjoy…:)IMG-20171012-WA0049.jpg

 

To Serve:

  • Take some melted white chocolate in a bowl. Rim the edges of the shot glass with chocolate and directly invert it onto the sprinkles to coat the rim.

Making homemade peach juice is simple, and can be made using a blender or a food processor, following this easy juice recipe.

Fresh, homemade juice made with fresh peaches is a healthy, easy and delicious way to enjoy peaches when they are ripe locally.

 

INGREDIENTS:

6 ripe medium peaches

2 cups cold water

1 tbsp. lime juice,

INSTRUCTIONS:

 

  1. Slice the peaches in half. Cut or scoop out the peach flesh.PicsArt_07-12-04.30.23
  2. Drop the peach flesh into a blender. Add the water, lime juice, sugar and ice cubes.PicsArt_07-12-04.31.28
  3. Blend to liquefy the ingredients.
  4. If there are large pieces of peach still remaining, pour the juice through a strainer to remove them, if desired.PicsArt_07-12-05.17.11
  5. Pour into a pitcher or jug for storage. Alternatively, pour direct into glasses for immediate serving. Add some ice cubes, and a garnish of a peach slice and mint leaf.

  • Select peaches which are somewhat soft to the touch, and that are producing a “peach” smell.

WATERMELON BASIL SEED COOLER

Watermelon juice is an effective thirst quencher and coolant to beat the summer heat with amazing health benefits. Basil is healthy and provides a lot of cooling to the human body, so this is a no-brainer as a must have to drink every day. Best served when chilled, this quick recipe is sure to get you refreshed after a hot and tiring day.

I make this watermelon juice very often. I usually drink it a glass of it after my morning workout. As watermelon is made up of 92% of water. Thus it is very hydrating fruit. It is perfect to have after exercise or a day in the sun.

 

INGREDIENTS:

4 cups of chopped watermelon

2 tbsp soaked Sabja seeds( basil seeds)

Lime juice as needed

½ tsp black salt

¼ cup sugar (purely optional)

Salt to taste

Ice as required

Few mint leaves

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

 

  1. Soak the basil seeds in water for half an hour.
  2. Place watermelon and ice into a blender.
  3. Pour in lime juice, black salt, sugar, and salt. Blend until smooth.
  4. Pour into serving glass and add soaked basil seeds and mint leaves before serving.
  5. Serve chilled.

 

NOTES:

  • Watermelon juice helps you lose weight. It is very low in calories and full of wholesome goodness.

Home Made Mango Frooti

I wanted to make frooti from a long time and finally, I made it…. its really yummy Vanished within minutes….the best part is its made at home, without preservatives and all that… It’s so easy to make and it’s so tasty, It’s amazing!

Recipe adapted …Suhan Mahajan

INGREDIENTS:
Ripe Mangoes – 2 pcs
Raw Mango – 1 pcs
Sugar – 3/4  cup or honey 3tbsp or as per your taste
Water 1 cup
Lemon juice 1 tsp

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Cut both types of mangoes into small pcs and put it into a pressure cooker for steaming. Add 1 cup of water for steaming.325
  2. Simultaneously in a pan, pour 1 cup water and sugar. Heat this sugar syrup till sugar completely dissolves in water.326
  3. Once steamed, cool down the mangoes. After cooling, blend to form a mango puree using a hand blender.327
  4. Mango Puree can be sieved to remove the mango fibers. This step is optional.
  5. Add lemon juice and sugar syrup into the puree. This is the mango concentrate.
  6. For serving, add cold water to this concentrate and serve chilled with ice cubes.Enjoy!!!!
