Motichoor Kheer parfait is so good to taste, simple and easy to make.
Here I came up with a fusion one as motichoor boondi with kheer parfait. These are completely eggless parfait and don’t require any baking techniques. So the detailed method of preparation is mentioned below.
For Parties get over regular sweets and try this awesome parfait which is easy to assemble and tastes out of the world.
Try it out and I am sure you all will love it as much as we did.

Motichoor Laddoo – Buy from the best mithai shop  :-)250gms

Kheer (2cup thick)

1tbsp butter

Oreo biscuit (3small pack )

Milk – 1/2 ltr
Mini rice  – 1/2 cup
Sugar – 1 1/2 tbsp
Saffron – a pinch
Cardamom – 2 pcs crushed

  1. To make Kheer, take a thick bottom pan and pour the milk in it and bring it to a boil.
  2. Once boiled, add rice and on a low medium flame reduce the milk till it thickens up and remains ¼ of the original quantity.
  3. Keep stirring at regular intervals, add the sugar and cardamom powder and mix well.
  4. Once it reaches the desired quantity, switch off the flame and let it cool completely.
Now get ready with the shot glasses or your desired jar to assemble.

The main elements are prepared and time to assemble it now.

Prepare the base:

  1. Place the biscuits in a zip lock pouch, seal and with the help of a rolling pin, crush the biscuits to a fine powder. Alternatively, process the biscuits in a food processor until they turn into a fine powder.
  2. Put the biscuit powder in a mixing bowl, add the room temperature butter and mix with your finger tips until the mixture resembles bread crumbs and the butter is well mixed into the biscuit powder. Alternatively, make this in a food processor.
  3. Press this mixture over in the shot glasses.PicsArt_07-17-05.29.43
  4. Crush a motichoor laddoo and press it tightly with a spoon.PicsArt_07-17-05.32.18
  5. Pour a layer of kheer on it and tap it once so that its all settled.PicsArt_07-17-05.35.52
  6. Sprinkle some pistachio.
  7. Top it with just a little size laddoo.PicsArt_07-18-04.57.42

  • Here I have preferred the shot glasses, but any other variety of glasses can be considered. Whatever may be the type of glass, the layering should be visible.

Now a days me and my daughters have started running in the morning. After that they have to go to school so, they have no time for breakfast.I am very much worried about it. So I decided to make these energy laddoos- easy to make and easy to eat.

Dates and dry fruits both provide warmth to the body and hence these Dates and Nuts ladoos serve as a delicious,  healthy and nutritious winter breakfast with energy punch to start the day.

The dates and nuts ladoo recipe makes use of fresh dates, figs, Poppy seeds and nuts like Cashew Nuts, Almonds, raisins, Walnuts and Pistachios. Dates serve as natural sweetener and hence no additional sugar is added to this Ladoos. Recipe is very quick and easy to follow.

Pistachio – 1 tbsp chopped
Almonds – 4 tbsp chopped
Cashews – 3 tbsp chopped
Dates – 20picsart_1483626020905
Raisins – 2 Tbsp
Ghee – 1 tbsp
Walnuts-2 tbsp chopped
poppy seeds 3 tsp
Cardamom Powder – 1 large pinch

  1. First chop the pistachio, almonds, cashews, walnuts finely and keep aside.picsart_1483626099498
  2. Remove the seeds from the dates and using a food processor or grinder pulse the dates in small batches. This will make their small bits and save time of individual chopping of dates.picsart_1483626155679
  3. Heat up 1 tbsp ghee in a non stick wok and shallow fry Almonds and Cashew nuts on low to medium flame . You will get nice aroma from the nuts. Keep stirring for 1-2 minutes or until cashews turn light pink. Drain and remove from the wok and keep aside.picsart_1483626257659
  4. In the same ghee now roast the Pistachios and Walnuts for about a minute or so. Remoand keep with the Almonds and Cashews.picsart_1483626293688
  5. Now roast the Poppy seeds on low flame in the same wok with left over Ghee for 1 minute. Keep stirring continuously .picsart_1483626326168
  6. At the end add the dates in the wok along with poppy seeds. Mix properly and put off the flame. Now add the roasted nuts followed by Cardamom powder. Mix everything nicely and allow the mixture to cool down for 5 minutes.picsart_1483626565727
  7. Once the mixture cools a little, mix it with hands to form a dough.
  8. Pinch small portion and roll out into a small gooseberry shape ball between the palms. Repeat the same for all the Ladoos. You may make big ones or small bite size depending on your choice.picsart_1483626887744
  9. Keep them in an air tight container. Serve with warm milk as a healthy and filling Breakfast. NOTES:
  • Choice and quantity of the nuts can be changed based on your preference.
  • While sauteing the dates, be sure not to overcook them. Or else the sugars may burn and the ladoo will taste bitter or else the sugar might caramelize and ladoo will harden after cooling.
  • Slightly grease the mixie jar or food processor before pulsing the dates. This will help the dates not stick to the jar.

Aata Mewa Goond Ladoo

Aata Mewa goond  Ladoo, is a healthy and nutritious version of ladoo that is easy to make and you can store them for up to four weeks (when stored in an air tight container).

This Recipe I learnt from my bhua .

These Aata Mewa goond Ladoo can be easily prepared instantly without any previous preparation.

Though it is an easy recipe with very simple ingredients, its taste, texture and aroma is amazing. They include the goodness of Dry fruits and goond which provides immunity and nutrition to the body. These Aata Mewa goond  Ladoo are also perfect for your kids .

My younger daughter’s favourite This time I made it for my brother, who is studying in pune ..

Whole Wheat Flour (Aata)- 2 cups
Clarified Butter (Ghee)- 1.5 cup + 2 tablespoon to saute almonds and kashew nut
Powdered Sugar (Boora)- 2 cup
Almonds (Badam)- 1/2 cup
keshew nut 1/2 cup
Raisins (Kishmish)- 1/2 cup (optional)
50 gms goond edible (powdered)

  1. Heat Clarified Butter (Ghee) in a heavy bottom pan and saute keshew and almonds in it till almonds are golden in color.
  2. Keep them aside and allow to cool down to room temperature and then grind into a coarse powder.
  3. In the same pan heat remaining Clarified Butter (Ghee) and add Whole Wheat Flour (Gehu Ka Aata) in  it and mix well.
  4. Roast the Whole Wheat Flour (Gehu Ka Aata) over very low flame for 25 – 30 minutes stirring it continuously till it gets a nice golden brown color and you can sense a nice aroma of roasted flour coming out of the pan. (Remember after 20 minutes flour (aata) will have a tendency to get burn so be careful and don’t over roast it).
  5. Sprinkle powdered goond over roasting atta 1 tsp at a time when roasting is completed properly209
  6. Saute the flour for next 2-3 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile grind the keshewnut (kaju) and almonds in a grinder.
  8. Add this kaju  and Almonds powder to the Flour (Aata) and mix well.210
  9. Add Raisins (Kishmish) and mix well.
  10. Switch off the heat and let the mixture come to room temperature, then add powdered sugar and mix very well. (You don’t add the powdered sugar  when the mixture is hot otherwise  heat will cause sugar to melt and caramelize and that will spoil the texture of laddoo).211
  11. Grease your hands with a little Clarified Butter (Ghee) and start binding the ladoo.
  12. Do not cool down the flour completely, keep it a little warm, it will help in binding the Ladoo easily.
  13. Bind all the ladoo in the same way and keep them in a plate.

  • When done keep ladoo in a plate with a little distance between each other, else they can stick to each other and may loose their shape.
  • If you find it difficult to bind ladoo or you find your flour dry then you can add warm Clarified Butter (Ghee) in the flour and mix it well, increase the amount gradually till you attain the desired consistency to make ladoo.

Happy Cooking and Enjoy Eating…..!!!
